The movie follows an ISIS-targeted explosive ordnance disposal crew as they prepare Palmyra, a recently freed historical landmark, for a symbolic performance by the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra. Only if the old city and the highways leading to it are neutralized can the peacekeeping event be staged in Palmyra, which the terrorists have seriously devastated. One kilometer at a time, the EOD crew clears the path. However, the explosives become more lethal the closer they get to Palmyra's center. The most seasoned EOD expert and the young squad captain are becoming more tense.
