When cruel land baron Seamus Laurent massacres a Roma clan in the late nineteenth century, he casts a curse on his family and hamlet. The locals begin to experience nightmares in the days that follow, Seamus's son Edward disappears, and a little kid is discovered dead. The people think it's a wild animal, but pathologist John McBride, who is in town, says there's something more evil hiding in the woods.
