Synopsis
Girl In the Closet, based on actual events, tells the tale of 10-year-old Cameron, who was adopted by her aunt Mia after her mother had an aneurysm and already had a husband and daughter of her own. Cameron began noticing strange, ghostly noises emanating from the basement's locked door soon after moving into her new house. Young Cameron would soon find out what was really behind that door—victims of her aunt's attempts to make money by cashing their benefits checks—people tied to the wall. Soon after, Cameron was demoted and forced to work in the basement, where she would remain for the next ten years as police searched for her.
