Naira Marley, the stage name of Nigerian musician Azeez Adeshina Fashola, has pleaded with his 'Marlians' to avoid abusing narcotics.

In launching his new collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in their fight against drug misuse on Thursday, the musician made the call.

The singer believes that drug consumption is unhealthy and might motivate people to commit crimes.

The musician of "Baby Kingsway" stated that he supported the anti-drug campaign because he wanted to see drug usage wiped out of the streets.

We must all cease substance abuse in all its forms, he said, adding, "I have joined this campaign to encourage NDLEA to stop drugs on the streets. I will like to ask my fans, the Marlians, and other Nigerian youths to quit doing drugs since it is not good for their welfare. Please come along. It truly isn't good; it encourages you to return to crime.
