Synopsis
When fifteen-year-old Annabelle is assigned to live at an orphanage, she and two other children flee in an effort to save the animals on her family's farm before her rapacious neighbour, Bo Gilmer, takes them away. When Annabelle and the kids get at the farm, they learn that a magical unicorn has moved in as a new resident. Bo and Mother Chloris, the grumpy headmistress of the orphanage, relentlessly follow the children as they attempt to ascertain the function of the fabled beast. Additionally, Natalie, a sympathetic social worker, looks into the orphan's past and learns a family secret that might drastically alter Annabelle's future.
