A disturbing psychological thriller about Steve Unger, an unconventional scientist, and his struggles in providing care for his dying wife Darlene, who has only a few weeks to live. Steve quickly sets out on a quest to find a treatment to cure Darlene and preserve his family unit, all the while trying to remain strong for his wife and their 10-year-old daughter Lily. Humanity may go extinct as a result of his treatment methods, which involve tampering with human DNA and disregarding all moral and legal boundaries in the pursuit of a cure.
