Synopsis
PAPILLON is a film that tells the epic story of Henri "Papillon" Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), a safecracker from the Paris underworld who is framed for murder and sentenced to life in the infamous Devil's Island prison colony. It is based on the internationally best-selling autobiographical books "Papillon" and "Banco." In an attempt to reclaim his freedom, Papillon teams up with the eccentric and jailed counterfeiter Louis Dega (Rami Malek), who consents to provide the money for Papillon's escape in exchange for safety.
