Synopsis 

On Amity Island, a little town where the beaches are the major draw, it is a sweltering summer. The first thing that the new sheriff Martin Brody wants to do after finding the remains of a shark attack victim is to prohibit swimming on the beaches. Mayor Larry Vaughn and a few other local merchants are not pleased about this. As a little kid is killed by the predator that weekend, Brody recants out of regret. Amity is quickly overrun by amateur hunters and fishermen hoping to cash in on the bounty placed by the mother of the slain boy on the shark.
